PMA Launches Consultant Mastermind

September 2, 2025

Nonprofit Consultant Mastermind '25-'26

PMA Nonprofit Leadership has officially launched a new Nonprofit Consultant Mastermind, a peer learning community designed specifically for consultants serving the nonprofit sector.

The idea emerged when podcast guest, consultant, and author Hardy Smith suggested that the successful model behind PMA’s long-running Nonprofit Leadership Mastermind could also be applied to consultants themselves. After discussions with solopreneurs and small firms across the country, it became clear that there was strong interest in a dedicated space for consultants to strengthen their practices, exchange strategies, and provide support to one another.

The program officially began on August 25, 2025, with its first monthly session. Facilitated by Patton McDowell and Joy Zuniga, the Mastermind provides participants with the time and structure to deepen their understanding of each other’s work while offering coaching and peer support.

An Ongoing Program

Unlike a traditional cohort model with a fixed endpoint, the Nonprofit Consultant Mastermind is designed as an ongoing program. PMA will continue to welcome new consultants into the community as openings occur, ensuring a dynamic and evolving exchange of ideas.
