Our Approach

We utilize a comprehensive three-step process to assess your organization and develop strategic plans that integrate hard data, creative solutions, and the diverse voices of your key stakeholders. This process ensures that every aspect of your organization is analyzed and enhanced to meet future challenges effectively.

1. Assemble the Facts

  • Initial Planning: Engage with your leadership to design the assessment project, assign responsibilities, and establish a clear work plan and timeline.
  • In-depth Analysis: Study and assess your mission, vision, values, and programming/services to fully understand your organizational identity.
  • Operational Review: Analyze your governance and staffing structure, revenue generation methods, partnerships, fundraising activities, marketing strategies, and financial management.
  • Comparative Research: Develop a list of comparable organizations, key stakeholders, and significant questions to address throughout the assessment.
  • Documentation and Presentation: Organize and present data, research findings, and insights clearly and comprehensively.

2. Convene Voices

How the Process Works

  • Project Tracker: We’ll kick off by creating a project tracker. This living document will outline each aspect of our typical four-month project, detailing monthly tasks, responsibilities, and timelines for both parties. It ensures transparency and accountability, with regular updates and adjustments as needed to reflect any changes during the project’s lifecycle.
  • Calendar Planning: We will align with your calendar to schedule regular updates, proposing a meeting cadence of at least every other week via Zoom. Additionally, we are prepared to provide updates during your board meetings and other significant organizational milestones.
  • Material Review: Recognizing the demands on your time, we will request only essential materials necessary to effectively understand your operations and those of comparable organizations. This will enable us to conduct a thorough analysis without overburdening your schedule.
